Congratulations, Dr. Sanne Hoeken!

🙌 We are so proud to congratulate SAIL member Sanne Hoeken on the successful defense of her PhD thesis: “Modeling the Lexical Semantic Dynamics of Hate Speech”, supervised by Prof. Sina Zarrieß at Bielefeld University!

💻 Sanne’s research brought together language modeling, language change, and hate speech detection to explore the computational linguistic possibilities for capturing how hate speech evolves in social media data, a topic that is as relevant as it is challenging.
